Southwest NCSY Holy Cow Sweepstakes Official Rules

No Purchase or Donation Necessary to Enter or Win.

(The “Holy Cow Sweepstakes”) is sponsored by Southwest NCSY, a project of the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America (the “Orthodox Union”), a non-profit organization, having an address at 40 Rector Street, 4th floor, New York, NY 10006 (“Sponsor”).

ELIGIBILITY:
The Sweepstakes is open to current legal residents of the fifty (50) United States, the District of Columbia, and Canada who are at least 15 years of age at the time of entry and purchase tickets at https://southwest.ncsy.org/holycow/, subject to the terms and conditions of these Official Rules (“Entrants”).

Void where prohibited.

In the event that the Sponsor learns that any Entrant is under the age of 15 at the time of entry, the Sponsor will retain the information submitted by the Entrant long enough to respond to the Entrant but will otherwise delete all information submitted by the Entrant after notifying the Entrant that
they are ineligible for the Sweepstakes.

Individuals affiliated with Southwest NCSY and/or The Orthodox Union, including employees, officers, directors, board members, trustees, fellows, research associates, agents, representatives or independent contractors of the Orthodox Union, or subsidiaries, affiliates, agents, assigns, or any entity connected with this promotion, and each of their immediate families (children, parents, siblings, and spouses) and others living in their households, are eligible. Southwest NCSY and/or The Orthodox Union will determine eligibility in its sole discretion.

ENTRY PERIOD:
Entry begins August 20, 2025 at 5:00pm EST (“Entry Begins”). All entries, including mail in entries, must be received by September 10, 2025 at 11:59pm CST (“Entry Ends”) in order to be entered into the Sweepstakes. Grand Prize Entry and Second Place Prize Entry ends September 10, 2025 at 11:59 pm CST (collectively, “the Sweepstakes Period”).

HOW TO ENTER:
All entries must be made within the Sweepstakes Period, i.e., subsequent to the “Entry Begins” date and prior to the “Entry Ends” date by placing an online order form at https://southwest.ncsy.org/holycow/.

• Online Entry:
  You can enter online at https://southwest.ncsy.org/holycow/ and fill out the required information.
• Alternative Method of Entry:
  You may also enter by mailing a handwritten 3 x 5 card with your full name, postal address, email address and telephone number to Southwest NCSY Holy Cow Sweepstakes, Attention: Southwest NCSY, 10101 Fondren Road, Suite 115, Houston, TX 77096. Only one card will be allowed per envelope and only one such entry may be submitted per day (as determined by the postmark on each envelope) by each person.

Sponsor reserves the right to offer special entry periods during certain times which may result in Entrants being granted extra entries during that time.

All contact information provided must be valid, truthful and current. Entries submitted must be received by the close of the Sweepstakes Period. Sponsor is not responsible for late, lost, delayed, damaged, misdirected, incomplete, illegible or unintelligible entries. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify false entries or entries suspected of being false. Persons discovered entering under several names will be disqualified. Only complete valid entries will be accepted. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, damaged, delayed, destroyed, misdirected, incomplete, illegible, or postage due mail. Such entries are void and will not be accepted. Incomplete, unreadable, or unintelligible entries, in the sole discretion of Sponsor, will be disqualified. Sponsor will not verify receipt of entries. All entries submitted become the sole property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. In the event a dispute regarding the identity of the individual who actually submitted an entry cannot be resolved to Sponsor’s satisfaction, the affected entry will be deemed ineligible.

PRIZE(S):

Grand Prize: One (1) winner – Approximately twenty-two (22) cuts of meat from the front of a cow. This encompasses a minimum 46 pieces of meat in 22 different varieties. (valued at approximately $2500). One gift card totaling $250, from either Amazon or Home Depot, to be used for a chest freezer, smoker, BBQ, or however winner chooses.

Second Place Prize: One (1) winner – Six frenched racks of lamb meat valued at approximately $250.

SWEEPSTAKES DRAWING:

The winners will be chosen by random drawings, conducted by the Sponsor, from among all eligible entries on or about September 11, 2025, subject to change upon Sponsor’s discretion.
Decisions of the Sponsor are final and binding.

SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION OF WINNER:

Each qualified entry will be entered into random drawings for a prize to take place on or about the dates listed above. There will be two (2) Prizes drawn, a Grand prize and a Second Place Prize, at the discretion of the Sponsor. The Prizes and their approximate value(s) are as follows:

• Grand Prize: One (1) winner – Approximately twenty-two (22) cuts of meat from the front of a cow. This encompasses a minimum 46 pieces of meat in 22 different varieties. (valued at approximately $2500). One gift card totaling $250 to Amazon or Home Depot, for use toward a chest freezer, smoker, grill, or however winner chooses.
• Second Place Prize: One (1) winner – Six frenched racks of lamb meat valued at approximately $250.

The winners will be notified by email at the email address provided by Entrant. The Prize winners may be called on the night of the Prize drawing. The winners will be required to respond (as directed) within seven (7) days of attempted notification. Failure to respond within seven days of notification will result in forfeiture of the prize and, in such case, Sponsor may randomly select an alternate winner from among the remaining eligible entries. Winners may also be sent an affidavit of eligibility/liability and publicity release (“Release”) in order to accept the Prize. If the winner is under the age of 18, the Release must be co-signed by the winner’s legal parent or guardian.
Unless restricted by law, winner(s) will be required to complete and return the Release within fifteen (15) days from the date of notification. By accepting the prize, the Winners grant permission for the Sponsor to use the Winners’ name, photograph(s) and other identifying information at Sponsor’s discretion for future advertising, publications, promotional materials and to post online on Sponsor’s website and social media without compensation, unless prohibited by law. An
alternate winner will be randomly selected from among the remaining eligible entries if a winner: (i) cannot be reached; (ii) fails to obtain all signatures on the Release and to return the documents in a timely manner as required pursuant to these Official Rules; or (iii) cannot accept or receive the prize for any reason. Prize must be picked up or claimed within thirty (30) days of the winning notification.

Sponsor will not be obligated to make multiple attempts to contact the winner. The winner may be issued a 1099 form. Winners are solely responsible for any and all federal, state and local income taxes, fees, assessments and like charges associated with the prize.

In the event of a dispute about the identity of an Entrant, each entry will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at time of entry.

Pictures of the prizes are for illustration purposes only. Actual prizes may differ.

Non-cash prizes may be provided either as actual items, or as cash value, entirely at the discretion of Sponsor. All prizes are awarded “as is” and are non-transferable. No substitution or transfer of prize permitted, provided however that Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize with another prize of equal or greater value should the advertised prize become unavailable for any reason. If a substitute prize is awarded, there shall be no cash redemption of prize permitted and any difference between actual value and actual retail value will not be awarded. Winners cannot assign or transfer their prize to another person or business. All activities related to the prize are at the winners’ own risk and subject to whatever restrictions are imposed by the entities that govern such activities.
Acceptance, participation in and/or use of the prize are at the winners’ sole risk and Sponsor is not responsible for damages whatsoever, including special, indirect, or consequential damages, arising out of or in connection with the use and/or misuse of the prize. If prize notification or any prize is returned as undeliverable, prize will be forfeited, and an alternate winner may be selected.

Sponsor is not responsible for typographical errors.

Winners who reside outside of the continental United States may be responsible for arranging delivery of the prize, including any costs associated therewith. First prize winnings cannot be delivered to residents of Seattle, WA. Second prize winnings cannot be delivered to Canada. Delivery to Canada may be limited. In the event a prize cannot be delivered as listed, an equivalent prize will be offered, at the discretion of the sponsor.

ODDS:
The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.

CONDITIONS:

Sweepstakes is subject to these Official Rules. By participating, Entrants agree: (i) to be bound by these complete Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor which shall be final and binding; and (ii) to waive any right to claim ambiguity in the Sweepstakes or these Official Rules, except where prohibited by law.

By participating in the Sweepstakes, Entrants agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsor and its related entities together with their subsidiaries, affiliates, parent companies, directors, employees, officers, licensees, licensors and agents of each, including without limitation, their respective advertising and promotion entities and any person or entity associated with the production, judging, or administration of the Sweepstakes, (the “Indemnified Parties”) from any
and all liability, loss or damage arising from or in connection with awarding, receipt and/or use or misuse of prize, participation in Sweepstakes and/or any prize-related activities, except where restricted by law. The Sweepstakes is void where prohibited or restricted by law, and subject to applicable federal, state and local laws. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any Entrant it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or violating these
Official Rules. Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to terminate the Sweepstakes and, if terminated, at its discretion, Sponsor may select the potential winners in a random drawing from among all eligible, non-suspect entries received prior to action taken.

Any and all disputes regarding these Official Rules and/or the Sweepstakes shall be determined by binding arbitration before the Bais Din Maysharim, Lakewood, New Jersey, Orthodox Beit Din. The ruling and award of such Orthodox Beit Din will be a final, binding, non-appealable, and legally enforceable decision.

CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION FROM PARTICIPATION IN THE SWEEPSTAKES. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND DAMAGES (INCLUDING ATTORNEY FEES) TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW, INCLUDING CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.

PUBLICITY:
By submitting an entry, Entrants agree that the Sponsor has the right to use any Entrant’s name,
photographs, likeness, statements, biographical information, voice, city and state address and/or
prize information for publicity, promotional or advertising purposes on a worldwide basis, and in
all forms of media, now or hereafter known, in perpetuity, without review, permission or further
compensation unless prohibited by law. Entrants also release Sponsor from any liability related to
the above.

PRIVACY:
All personal information collected by Sponsor will be used for administration of the Sweepstakes.
In addition, Entrants may receive email correspondence from, or on behalf of the Sponsor, subject
to the Sponsor’s privacy policy. Sponsor uses reasonable commercial efforts to comply with
federal CAN-SPAM guidelines, and Entrants may subsequently opt-out of receiving further emails
by following the opt-out instructions contained in the email.

important information regarding the collection, use and disclosure of personal information by
Sponsor.

WINNERS’ LIST:

The winners may be listed on the https://southwest.ncsy.org/holycow/ Website. For a copy of the
winners’ list, please send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: Southwest NCSY Holy Cow
Sweepstakes, Attention: Southwest NCSY, 10101 Fondren Road, Suite 115, Houston, TX 77096.
The information will be available once the winner has been verified and the prize has been
awarded. All requests must be received within 90 days of the end of the Sweepstakes Period (WA,
VT residents need not affix postage). Winners’ name(s) can be accessed on our website.
