OUR REGION
NCSY connects Jewish teens to their heritage through meaningful programs, dedicated advisors, and a vibrant community that feels like home.
OUR HISTORY
NCSY is a multi-faceted Jewish Youth group which is open to all Jewish youth regardless of background and affiliation. Offering social and educational programming in hundreds of communities across the U.S. and Canada, NCSY is a leader in bringing unaffiliated youth an awareness of what Judaism is all about. For Jewish teenagers, NCSY is a relaxed, fun environment to learn about their own heritage.
Whether it is a Latte n’ Learn, a regional convention weekend, or just a chance to hang out with friends, chances are Southwest NCSY has an event that you are going to LOVE!
The advisors you know. The learning you’ll love.
We don’t just build programs.
We build Jewish leaders
OUR MISSION
Southwest NCSY is dedicated to connecting, inspiring, and empowering Jewish teens, encouraging a passionate appreciation for Judaism through Torah and Tradition. We believe that every Jewish teen, regardless of their background or level of observance, deserves a place where they feel they belong. Our programs are designed to spark curiosity, foster leadership, and build lasting friendships.
From our legendary regional conventions to our intimate chapter latte-and-learns, we provide the tools for the next generation to take ownership of their Jewish journey.
OUR VISION
Local events, Shabbatons, and social programs give teens a warm place to belong and connect with friends.
Informal Jewish education and mentorship help teens explore Judaism in a way that feels relevant and alive.
Teens are invited to take responsibility, guide their peers, and make a positive impact in their community.

Operations Manager; City Director, Austin NCSY & JSU
Emily has been with Southwest NCSY, helping to grow the Austin chapter and organize the region’s operations, for about three years. A graduate from San Diego State University, with degrees in English Literature and Theatre Arts, Emily has worked in a variety of fields prior to joining Southwest. Previous roles include Communications and Donor Relations for a non-profit theatre, Hebrew School Director, and Disneyland Attractions Hostess (feel free to ask her how amazing this job was!).
In her work and life, Emily is guided by the wisdom of Rabbi Jonathan Sacks and Dennis Prager, believing in the importance of modeling and teaching Torah values to the world. Outside of work, Emily enjoys performing improv, singing, dancing, and baking desserts for other people. She lives with her husband and three children in Leander, TX.
